IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi: IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Launches B.Tech Programme, New Entrance Exam for UAE

IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi Admissions 2024: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) in collaboration with its international campus in Abu Dhabi, has launched its first-ever Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme, offering B.Tech degrees in computer science, engineering and energy engineering for the academic year 2024-2025. Admissions are now open for four years of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course in Computer Science and Engineering and four years of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course in Energy Science and Engineering. Admission to IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus will be determined based on the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) and JEE Advanced Examinations 2024. These programs will help students address their energy challenges, frame the future digital age, and create software to improve a variety of industries, including analytics, finance, encryption, and information technology. Furthermore, this will help students prepare various solutions to meet progressing demands in critical fields like energy and digitalisation.

• B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
  The Computer Science and Engineering program in UAE is aimed at developing in their students the best foundation in computer science principles, coupled with hands-on experience in software development, algorithms, data structures, and emerging technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Machine Learning). The curriculum is framed as per the Indian campus ensuring candidates receive the same high standards of education as India.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has introduced the B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Energy Engineering at IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus. It is just a start and soon planning to expand its offerings to postgraduate programs and research initiatives in upcoming years. This expansion will make the educational ties between India and the UAE more stronger.

• In the year 2023, IT Delhi and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) partnered with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to strengthen the importance of this newly introduced master’s program and underscores all partners’ joint commitment to nurturing skilled talent in the UAE.

• Admission Process
  The candidates who clear the JEE Advanced 2024 will be able to apply for the IIT Delhi Abu Dhabi admissions through the prescribed portal. The Seat allocation will be managed through this portal only not the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) portal. The CAET test is scheduled to be conducted on June 23, 2024, in the various centres of the UAE. The registration process for CAET 2024 is open till June 10, 2024. Candidates will be able to register at the website, admissions.abudhabi.iitd.ac.in. The test is open for the residents of UAE including nationals, expatriates, and international candidates. The fee for JEE Advanced candidates is the same as at IIT Delhi’s main campus. Candidates will receive a monthly stipend of 2,000 AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham), subsidized accommodation and food, and an annual travel allowance of AED 4,000. Medical insurance and welfare needs will be covered too.
