What Happened Exactly happened

  • 15.43 lakh workers are now new members of ESI
  • 23,526 companies started giving ESI benefits to their workers
  • 7.36 lakh young people joined who are under 25 years old (about half of all new members)
  • 3.35 lakh women signed up
  • 74 transgender people also joined

Young People Joining in!

Nearly half of the new members were young people, 25 years old or younger. This might mean more jobs for young people or that young workers are learning about ESI benefits.

ESI helping Everyone!

The ESI Scheme is trying to help all types of workers. Many women joined, and transgender workers are getting benefits too. This clearly shows that the aim of ESI is to help everyone.

More Companies Offering Benefits

23,526 new jobs began providing ESI benefits. That is more workers who can receive assistance when they are ill, have a child, or encounter other difficulties.

These numbers might still change a little as they check all the information, but it shows more workers in India are getting protection through ESI.
