The Income Tax  (IT) Department has conducted raids on BRS candidate Miryalaguda and present MLA Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao, in Telangana.

Currently, raids are currently taking place at his workplace, apartment, and a few close associates.

Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao is a Telangana legislator who represents the Miryalaguda constituency. He is from Shakapuram village in the Nidamanoor Mandal of the Nalgonda District.

He was elected to the newly formed state of Telangana Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Miryalaguda constituency in 2014. He was re-elected as MLA of Miryalaguda Constituency in 2018.

As General Secretary of the Students Union, SR, and BGNR College, he was an influential participant in the initial Telangana Movement in 1969.

On November 13, Income Tax officials searched the Hyderabad residence of Telangana Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy’s relatives. She has been Telangana’s Minister of Education since 2019.

The Income Tax sleuths raided Pradeep’s residence, who is apparently a close relative of the minister.

Sabitha Reddy is the TRS candidate for the Maheshwaram Assembly seat in the 2023 elections. In the constituency, she will face Kitchannagari Laxma Reddy of the Congress and Andela Sri Ramulu Yadav of the BJP.

Telangana will vote on November 30, and the counting of results, along with four other poll-bound states, is set for December 3.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), won 88 of the 119 seats in the state’s previous Assembly election in 2018, with 47.4 percent of the overall vote share. The Congress came in second place with only 19 seats.

It is worth noting that two BJP politicians, G Kishan Reddy and K Laxman, who previously competed unsuccessfully for Telangana Assembly seats, have been retained for the November 30 elections.
