Post Name and No. of Vacancy for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2023:

As given in the notification of Income Tax Department recruitment 2023, applications are invited for the posts of Income Tax Inspector, Tax Assistant & Multi-Tasking Staff post. There are a total of 20 vacancies for the given posts.

The selected candidates will be posted anywhere in the North West Region (Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & U.T.’s of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh & Chandigarh).

Tenure– The selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years or as per the extant instructions of the Government of India.

Remuneration for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of Income Tax Department recruitment 2023, candidates will be given a monthly remuneration as given below-

For Income Tax Inspector- Candidates will be given a monthly salary between Rs. 44900- 142400.

For Tax Assistant- Candidates will be given a monthly salary between Rs. 25500- 81100.

For Multi-Tasking Staff post- Candidates will be given a monthly salary between Rs. 18000- 56900.

Age Limit for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Income Tax Department recruitment 2023, the age limit is given below-

For Income Tax Inspector- The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.

For Tax Assistant – The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years.

For Multi-Tasking Staff post- The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.

Age relaxation- 05 years for General/OBC candidates & 10 years in case of SC/ST candidates (As per OM dated 03.10.2013 of DoPT, Govt. of India, relating to Consolidated Instructions on Incentives for sportspersons).

Departmental candidates with three years of continuous service in the Central Government can apply up to the age of 40 years (45 years for SC/ST candidates).

Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2023:

Candidates are eligible to apply for Income Tax Department recruitment 2023 if they satisfy the given below eligibility criteria.

1- A state or the country in a National or International Competition in any of the games/sports as mentioned in Para 3; or

2- Their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the games/sports as mentioned in Para 3; or

3-  The State Schools Team in the National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by All India School Federation in any of the games/sports as mentioned in Para 3; or

4- Sportspersons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Qualification for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of Income Tax Department recruitment 2023, candidates willing to apply for the given posts must have the given below qualifications-

For Income Tax Inspector-

• Bachelor’s Degree from a Recognized University or equivalent.

For Tax Assistant –

• Bachelor’s Degree from a Recognized University or equivalent
• Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour.

For Multi-Tasking Staff post-

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University/Board.

Selection Procedure for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2023:

The applications will be scrutinized & suitable candidates will be shortlisted for further selection. Candidates will be selected in 2 phases-

Phase 1- All the candidates will be ranked, as per their option for the post applied for, based on their achievements in sports/games.

Phase 2- The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test.

The written exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions in General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude, General English & General Awareness.

Based on the aggregate marks obtained in the first phase and the second phase, the candidates will be ranked for selection.
