Kotak Mahindra Bank has announced that beginning June 1, 2025, it will implement a 1% fuel fee for purchases made on its credit cards when a customer’s total fuel expenditure exceeds a certain limit for that month. This new rule applies only to some Kotak credit cards, with different spending limits depending on which card you have. Since fuel is a major monthly expense for most people, this new policy is designed to control heavy fuel spending on credit cards, particularly on premium cards that offer rewards.
