Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023: Indian Coast Guard is inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates for the post of Engine Driver and Sarang Lascar (General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial). There are only 07 vacancies for the Posts. As per the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022, candidates should be between the age of 18 to 30 years to apply for the Posts. The candidates will be placed at level 4 of the pay matrix.

According to the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023 advertisement, interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply in the prescribed format given in the official notification and send their duly filled-in application form to the Commander, Coast Guard Region (A&N), Post Box No. 716, Haddo (P0), Port Blair 744 102, A&N Islands by ordinary post only. The candidates are required to submit the applications within 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

Post Name and Vacancies for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

Applications are invited for the Post of Engine Driver and Sarang Lascar (General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial). There are 07 vacancies in total including 02 vacancies for Engine Drivers and 05 vacancies for Sarang Lascar.

 

 

Age Limit for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

Candidates between the age of 18 to 30 years can apply for the Posts. The age is relaxable for Government servants up to 40 years in accordance with the orders issued by Central Government in this regard.

Pay Scale for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2023, candidates will be placed at level 4 of the pay matrix when appointed to the Post of Sarang Lascar or Engine Driver.

Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

1. For Engine Driver:

The candidates are required to hold the following qualifications:

Essential:

i. Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized

ii. Certificate of competency as an Engine Driver from a recognized Government Institute or equivalent.

Desirable:

The candidates should have two years of service as Sarang on a Vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse Power.

2. For Sarang Lascar:

The candidates are required to hold the following qualifications:

Essential:-

(i) Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized Boards.

(ii) Certificate of Competency as Sarang from a Government recognized Institute or equivalent.

Desirable:-

(i) Two years experience as Sarang in charge of a vessel of twenty Horse Power.

Selection Procedure for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

i. Scrutiny of Applications- All applications received from the candidates will be scrutinized subject to the eligibility criteria and necessary documents and the admit cards will be issued to the shortlisted candidates for document verification & appearing in the written examination.

ii. Document verification- All the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification prior to appearing in the written examination. Candidates will be required to bring their original documents and self-attested photocopies (02 sets) of the same as per the directives/instructions given in their admit cards.

iii. Written Examination- All the Shortlisted candidates will undergo a written examination on the basis of the educational qualifications prescribed for the post. The written examination will be pen-paper based and one-hour duration. The Question Paper (bilingual) for the written examination will consist of 80 objective-type questions with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.

iv. Merit list- It will be prepared strictly based on merit position as per marks obtained in written examination, as per DoPT orders in case of a tie, and will be published on the Indian Coast Guard website along with necessary instructions.

How to Apply for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

As per the Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023 notification, the eligible candidates are required to send their applications with duly affixed self-attested color photographs should be accompanied by Xerox copies of the required documents, duly self-attested with name and date. The duly filled applications along with all the requisite documents should be forwarded to The Commander, Coast Guard Region (A&N), Post Box No. 716, Haddo (P0), Port Blair 744 102, A&N Islands by ordinary post only within 45 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News.

It is mandatory that the envelope containing the application should be clearly superscribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………(Engine Driver/Sarang Lascar)” and also the category for which they applied viz. UR/EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST.

Note: Applications without these notations will be summarily rejected.
