Indian Coast Guard is looking for suitable and willing candidates for the post of Assistant Commandant in General Duty (GD), Technical (Mechanical) and Technical (Electrical/ Electronics) Branches. There are 70 vacancies open for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024.

Age Limit for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

For General Duty (GD)-

• The candidate should hold a degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
• The candidate should have mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after the diploma, are also eligible, provided they possess an aggregate of 55% marks in the diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

For Technical (Mechanical)-

• The candidate should hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR
• The candidate should have an equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognized by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
• The candidate should have mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after the diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in the diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

For Technical (Electrical/ Electronics)-

• The candidate should hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR
• The candidate should have equivalent qualifications in any of the above disciplines recognized by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from section ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
• The candidate should have mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. Salary for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The candidates who are selected for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 will be paid a monthly salary on pay scales for the various ranks as per the 7th CPC as follows-

Training Period for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The selected candidates for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 have to report at INA Ezhimala to undergo a Naval Orientation Course for 44 weeks followed by ab initio training at various training establishments/ units/ ships of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.

Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The selection of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 will be determined on the basis of an all-India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidates in various stages (I – V) of examination and the number of vacancies available for the post. Clearing of Stage I, II, III, IV and V is compulsory for recruitment in ICG. All candidates will be compulsorily subjected to biometric, photo identification and document verification during various stages of the examination.

Examination Fee for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

Candidates have to pay Rs.300 as an application fee to complete the application for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024. The SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fee. The application fee will be paid through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI. Admit cards will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee or who are entitled to a waiver of the examination fee.
