Indian Customs Notifies Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Administrative Assistance with 2 Countries
The Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), Government of India, has issued Notification No. 32/2025 - Customs (N.T.), dated 28th April 2025, under G.S.R. 285(E). This notification introduces further amendments to the previously issued Notification No. 58/2021-Customs (N.T.), originally dated 1st July 2021, in accordance with the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 151B of the Customs Act, 1962.
The primary objective of this amendment is to enhance international collaboration in the area of customs enforcement and administration. In line with this, the Central Government has added two new international cooperative arrangements to the existing list of Agreements or Arrangements on Cooperation and Mutual Administrative Assistance (CMAA) in customs matters. These additions have been incorporated into the TABLE under Notification No. 58/2021-Customs (N.T.) as follows:
(i) After S. No. 13 and the entries relating thereto, the following S. No. and entries shall be inserted, namely: –

- Note: The initial Notification No. 58/2021-Customs (N.T.), dated 1st July 2021, was released in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), under reference G.S.R. 467(E). It was subsequently revised by Notification No. 23/2024-Customs (N.T.), dated 15th March 2024, and released in the same part of the Gazette of India, under reference G.S.R. 205(E).
