Indian Navy Recruitment 2023: The Indian Navy is inviting applicants for the post of Fire Engine Driver (Erstwhile Fire Engine Driver Grade II) and Fireman (Erstwhile Fireman Grade- II). According to the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, there are 129 vacancies for the given posts. As per the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the maximum age limit for the aforementioned position is 56 years. Selected applicants will be paid upto Rs.69100 per month in line with the official Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 notification.

As given in the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the applicant must hold a Matriculation or its equivalent. According to the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the candidate will be based on performance/assessment/Physical Endurance Test, subject to satisfactory Document Verification, Medical Examination, and other requirements prescribed by the Government of India and Appointing Authority. The Indian Navy is currently accepting applications for the positions of Fireman (formerly known as Former Fireman Grade- II) and Fire Engine Driver (formerly known as Former Fire Engine Driver Grade II). The Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification states that there are 129 openings for the specified positions.

Age Limit for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:

The official Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 notification, the age restriction for the aforementioned post is 56 years old.

Qualification for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the Indian Navy  Recruitment 2023 must have the following qualifications

Fire Engine Driver (Erstwhile Fire Engine Driver Grade-II)

  • Candidates must have passed Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board.
  • Candidates must have at least three years experience of driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of a valid driving license.
  • Candidates must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the test specified below:-

Height without shoe 165 cm.Provided that a concession of 2.5 cm height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.

  • Chest(un-expanded) : 81.5 cms
  • Chest (on-expansion): 85 cms.
  • Weight (minimum): 50 Kgs

Desirable

  • Candidates should be familiar with the maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.
    Candidates should have experience having worked in a regular Civil/Defence Fire Brigade as a Fireman Grade-I or Senior Fireman.
  • Candidates should have passed the general firefighting course of the Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry Of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub-Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.

Fireman (Erstwhile Fireman Grade- II)

  • Candidates should have passed Matriculation or its equivalent.
  • Candidates should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the test specified below:

Height without shoes 165 cm. Provided that a concession of 2.5 cm in height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.

  • Chest(un-expanded) : 81.5cms
  • Chest(on-expansion) : 85cms
  • Weight (minimum): 50 Kg

Endurance Test

Carrying a man (Fireman lift of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump).
Climbing 03 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.

Place of Posting for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the candidate will be employed at Chilka, Sunabeda, Tirunelveli and Visakhapatnam.

Salary for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 notification, selected candidates will receive between Rs.19900 to Rs. 69100 per month in salary.

Selection Procedure for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:

The Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection of candidates will be made based on their performance in the assessment, physical endurance test, and document verification. Additionally, the candidate must pass a medical examination and meet any additional requirements set forth by the Appointing Authority and the Government of India.

As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 Notification, eligible applicants should duly fill out the application form in plain paper either neatly handwritten or typed as per the prescribed format, affixed with a recent passport-size colour photograph,(should not be older than 03 months) and duly self-attested. The envelope must be clearly superscribed on the top as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF<NAME OF POST> BY TRANSFER (NOW ABSORPTION) and forwarded to the address mentioned below within 60 days from the date of publication in the Employment News.
