Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:The Indian Navy is inviting applications for the post of Fire Engine Driver and Fireman as General Central Service Group ‘C’. According to the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the applicants will be paid a monthly salary of Rs. 19900 to Rs. 63200 for a fireman and Rs. 21700 to Rs. 69100 for a fire engine driver. The candidate will be selected based on a physical fitness test, a provisional appointment letter, and document verification.
Based on the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, there are a total of 129 vacant seats available for assigned positions. The maximum age limit of the candidates should not exceed56 years. As per the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, interested candidates who fulfil the criteria may fill out the application form and a scanned copy of the application along with the relevant documents forwarded by post to the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (for SO`CRC’) Headquarters Eastern Naval Command, New Annexe Building, D2-Block (2nd Floor), Naval Base Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh-530014 before the last date.
Essential Qualification for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:
The essential qualification is given below, according to the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023.
For Fire Engine Driver (Erstwhile Fire Engine Driver Grade II):
The candidate must have passed matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized board.
The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles and be in possession of a valid driving license.
The candidate must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties, and they must have passed the test specified below:-
The candidate must be Height without shoes: 165 cm. Provided that a concession of 2.5 cm height shall be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.
Chest (un-expanded): 81.5 cms
Chest (on expansion): 85 cm
Weight (minimum): 50 kg
Endurance Test-
Carrying a man (Fireman lifts 63.5 kgs to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds)
Clearing a 2.7-meter-wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump)
Climbing a 3-meter vertical rope using hands and feet
Desirable–
The candidate must be familiar with the maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.
The candidate must have experience working in a regular Civil/Defense Fire Brigade as a Fireman Grade-I or Senior Fireman.
The candidate must have passed the general firefighting course of the Defense Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defense, New Delhi, or the Sub-Officers Course from the National Fire Service College, Nagpur, or any other similar recognized course.
For Fireman (Erstwhile Fireman Grade- II):
The candidate must have passed matriculation or its equivalent.
The candidate must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties, and they must have passed the test specified below:

Based on the official notification for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the following documents are listed.
Attested copies of the CR Dossiers or APARs for the last five years (attested on each page) by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent
Vigilance Clearance Certificate and Integrity Certificate
A statement of major or minor penalty, if any, imposed on the officer during the last ten years
Cadre Clearance Certificate.
Self-attested copies of certificates or mark sheets in support of educational, technical, or other qualifications Original certificates and mark sheets should be produced when asked for.
04 recent passport-size photographs (not more than 03 months old and the date must be clearly printed on the photograph) duly attested on the reverse should be pinned with the application.
Selection Process for Indian Navy Recruitment 2023:
Referring to the official notification of Indian Navy Recruitment 2023, the shortlisted candidate will be chosen by a physical fitness test, Provisional Appointment Letter and Document Verification.
Details are stated below:
Physical Fitness Test– All eligible candidates for the post of Fire Engine Driver and Fireman will have to undergo a physical fitness test as per the standards specified. The exact date, time and venue will be communicated to the eligible applicants by mail/post.
Provisional Appointment Letter- The appointment of provisionally selected candidates will be strictly based on the merit position based on performance/assessment/Physical Endurance Test, subject to satisfactory Document Verification, Medical Examination and other requirement as specified by the Government of India and Appointing Authority.
Document Verification- All relevant documents about age, education identity, address, category, caste, Service etc. will be scrutinized and verified before provisional appointment as per extant DOP and T policy.The date and venue for document verification will be intimated to the provisionally selected candidates on their registered e-mail IDs/by post.
