A serious fight happened inside the Income Tax office in Lucknow on Wednesday between two officers – IRS officer Gaurav Garg and Assistant Commissioner Yogendra Mishra. Mishra attacked Garg during an argument about a secret office investigation, leaving Garg hurt.

From what we know, Gaurav Garg had called Mishra to his office on the 6th floor to ask him questions about an ongoing investigation. Mishra, who currently works in Kashipur, became very angry when he found out about this inquiry.

The two officers started arguing with words, and then they went to another senior officer’s room for a while. But when they came back to Garg’s office, Mishra allegedly hit him with a heavy paperweight and hurt him with pieces of broken glass.

Garg was quickly taken to the civil hospital, where doctors are treating him. A video shows him sitting in a wheelchair with medical staff helping him. The police will file a case at Hazratganj police station based on Garg’s complaint.

This incident has worried many people. BJP State President Bhupendra Chaudhary went to the hospital to see the injured officer. The police, led by DCP Central Ashish Shrivastava, are keeping a close watch on the situation.

It’s worth noting that Yogendra Mishra, who became an IRS officer in 2014, has been in trouble before. He is facing 8 to 10 office investigations for bad behavior, threatening his colleagues, and even trying to blackmail people with fake chat messages.

Earlier, Mishra caused problems during a cricket match in Kanpur, where he threatened a junior officer with a false drug case because he wasn’t selected for the team.

Even though Mishra was supposed to be on medical leave while working in Kashipur, people regularly saw him at the Lucknow Income Tax office, which seemed suspicious.

Office sources have confirmed that a thorough investigation into both the attack and Mishra’s overall behavior has begun.
