ISRO Recruitment 2022: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is looking forward to engaging bright candidates with the scientific aptitude to work as Junior Research Fellows (JRF), Research Associates (RA), and Project Associate – 1 (PA-1) in multi-disciplinary fields and project activities related to Natural Resources, Environment, Ocean, Atmosphere, Studies related to Planetary Sciences and Microelectronics/VLSI.

As per ISRO Recruitment Notification, there are total 33 vacancies for these posts. Candidates will have to produce original documents in proof of the details furnished in their online application at the time of the Personal Interview for verification. Those who fail to produce the said documents will not be allowed to attend the Personal Interview and TA will not be paid. The last date for filling out the application form is 08.01.2023.

Qualification Required for ISRO Recruitment:

Junior Research Fellows (JRF)

Tech with First class with a minimum of 60% marks (aggregate of all semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.5 on a 10 Point scale or M.Sc. with First class with a minimum of 65% marks (aggregate of all semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.84 on a 10 Point scale.

AND

Applicants should also have qualified one of the following:

CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test, including NET-Lectureship.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by MHRD.

National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Candidates should have good academic records and education throughout in Science or Engineering Stream.

Research Associates (RA)

Ph.D. in relevant subject

Master of Science with First class with a minimum of 65% marks (aggregate of all semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.84 on a 10 Point scale

Project Associate- 1

B.E./B. Tech in Electronics/Electrical or Master of Science in Electronics with First class with a minimum of 65% marks (aggregate of all semesters) or CGPA grading of 6.84 on a 10 Point scale.

Age Limit for ISRO Recruitment:

The maximum Age limit is 28 years for Junior Research Fellows and 35 years for Research Associates and Project Associates-1, as of 08/01/2023, relaxable by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC candidates. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders.

Selection Process for ISRO Recruitment:

The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible for selection. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on academic records or written tests (if required). The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Communication shall be sent only to the shortlisted candidates. The selection will be based on the performance in the personal interviews only. In case the candidate is claiming equivalent specialization, he/she has to obtain a certificate from his/her Institute/University stating that the specialization is equivalent to the one asked in the advertisement for the post applied for. SAC reserves the right for the final decision. The call letters for the interview to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail. No communication shall be made to the candidates who are not short-listed.
