ITI Mutual Fund Launches Bharat Consumption Fund
ITI Mutual Fund has today announced the launch of the ITI Bharat Consumption Fund, an open-ended thematic equity scheme focused upon India's consumption sector, which has been rapidly growing. The New Fund Offer is now open for subscription from February 6, 2025 and will remain open till February 20, 2025.
The fund would primarily invest in equity and equity-related securities issued by companies actively engaged in consumption and consumption-related activities or allied sectors. In this regard, it seeks long-term capital appreciation by exploiting the trend of an increasing domestic consumption pattern.
Investment Strategy and Allocation
The scheme will invest 80-100% of its portfolio in equity and equity-related instruments of consumption sector companies. Other equity and equity-related securities will be invested in 0-20% of the portfolio. The debt and money market instruments will comprise 0-20% of the portfolio, with 0-10% invested in units issued by Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs). The minimum investment has been set at Rs.5,000, further investments allowed in multiples of Re 1. This mutual fund will invest in companies of all sizes and use both broad market trends and individual company analysis to create a diverse portfolio for investors. Sectors and Growth Potential The fund offers investors an exposure to multiple consumer driven sectors, be it FMCG, automobiles, retail, healthcare, and consumption-related sectors. It focuses on investing in businesses that can leverage structural shifts in consumer behavior through high degrees of urbanization, increasing disposable incomes, and digital advancements. The consumption ecosystem in India has always been on the uptick in discretionary spending, premium and innovative product demand, and growth in the consumption sector. The fund looks to invest in a mix of established, scalable, and emerging businesses that constitute the consumption ecosystem to take advantage of these trends. The ITI Bharat Consumption Fund is created for investors that seek long-term capital appreciation in equity and equity-related instruments based on the ever-growing consumer market of India. It provides diversification across many sectors, so it can serve investors of every generation who would like to seize the changing Indian consumption landscape. With a significant orientation toward growth-driven consumer sectors, the fund seeks to present investors with the opportunity to benefit from the effect of rising incomes and changing patterns of consumer behavior in the Indian economy.About Author
