Overview:

Bayer is hiring an experienced Senior Expert- Payments at their Bangalore location. Sr. Expert to support or manage globally driven projects including implementation of change. Responsible for operational steering, reviewing and improving of process areas/sub-processes. It is an offshore management of IT Enablers and Demands, e.g. SAP In-House Cash, Electronic Bank Statements app., Manual Payments Tool and parts of global quality assurance (process safety and harmonization).

What will you be doing:

Support global or regional centralized operational activities with End-to-End view and being accountable for the implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance.

Support global projects and being accountable for continuous improvement measures, supervise the operational processes with a global perspective

Ensure complete, timely and qualitative execution of automated payments, netting and interest calculation within In-House Bank through quality assurance and continuous improvements

Maintain overview of non-standardized locally and centrally executed payments (incl. manual payments) and direct debits and drive standardization through continuous exchange with IT and local organization on automated solutions

Minimize overall number post payment activities (incl. rejections and reversals) trough quality assurance and constant exchange with involved internal (e.g. Master data organization) and external stakeholders (e.g. banks)

Ensure high automation rate of processed bank statements by identifying and implementing process improvement and in exchange with local Accounting and Treasury departments

Ensure operational effectiveness of ICS controls and quality control systems for defined centralized tasks at CoE. Cascade ICS controls and other quality systems in respective SSCDN locations where applicable

Ensure Inhouse bank operations and payment processes are following the process design. Oversee bank statement processing and identify opportunities for further automation.

Implement defined continuous improvement measures. Contribute to and support projects in the area of PB.

Align CoE activities across SSCDN locations and ensure harmonized approaches.

Represent operational teams within global community meetings, e.g. Expert Network)

Implement enabling technologies (IT process and analytical enablers) by conducting User Acceptance Tests, organizing hand-over into operations, creating Demands content and necessary documentation

Conduct the transformation process for SSCDN locations globally for Payments & Bank Accounting from an organizational, process and system impact perspective. Organize integration of new processes into operations.

Qualifications for this Job:

B.Com/M.Com/ MBA finance or any other suitable accounting degree

Professional experience minimum 6-7 years and more in payments, qualified and extended experience in a shared service center.

Intermediate Project and Change Management capabilities

Foundational presentation and communication skills

Functional Experience in S2P/O2C/HR will be good

Advanced in MS Office, very good knowledge of SAP System (P08)

Profound knowledge of all payment processes (including all payments ICS Controls), good understanding of the S2P, O2C/HR processes including enabling system functionalities.

Experience in International projects or teams.

Comfortable working in matrix environment.
