Adidas is hiring and experienced AM, BU Running and Credibility Sports – Emerging Markets at their Gurgaon location. This role supports Director BU Running & Credibility Sports EM, in executing the EM short and medium-term objectives for both the categories. Responsible for delivering across all KPIs.
The complete details of this job are as follows:
Responsible for range selection and alignment process within the parameters set by the EM CTC Range Architecture team to meet the KPI’s
Responsible for all aspects of merchandising the range including segmentation to meet all KPIs inc. efficiency, productivity, overlap, top line, margin
Assist the BU with tracking and data analytics for ONE EM RANGE KPIs
Act as system champ for the BU (RMA, GTMHub, sell-in tools, etc.)
Take charge of all BU ranging activities in RMA and adhere to seasonal timelines as per guidance set by the MOPS Team
Responsible for regular sell thru tracking of key campaigns and franchises.
Accountable for the Forecast analysis for the Category as part of the IBP process
Responsible for Commercial Input into Global by conducting regular competition analysis of Running & credibility sports
Understands the EM consumer retail environment including distribution points, share of buy,competitor ranges and pricing strategies
Responsible for all KPI reporting of the Category
Provide ad-hoc support to the BU as required
Support major product launches and presentations providing necessary sales support to ensure an effective sell-in launch process
University degree in business, ideally with Marketing and sales focus or equivalent professional experience;
3+ years Merchandising experience including Sales and Retail exposure, ideally in sporting goods, fashion or other youth culture brands
Fluent English (verbal and written)
Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficient in MS Office
Experience in the sporting goods/lifestyle industry is preferred
Passionate about sports, preferably product ranging specific with knowledge of sport
Consumer-focused with deep product and range understanding with an excellent ability to balance brand and commercial aspects and build channel specific GTM solutions
Exposure to merchandising approach including assortment planning, FPST, Open to Buy, launch and exit calendars, rate of sales, and also to VM planning & execution
Ability to guide optimal range building as per segmentation strategy and option plan (product type, gender, price points) for different channels
Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mind-set, ability to think end-to-end
Ability to work in agile environment with different culture and nationalities
Strong organizational skills
Commercial acumen: Very good numerical and analytical skills
Good communication (both written and verbal), presentation and facilitation skills
(small and large groups)
Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required
