On 22.02.2022 Kolkata Custom arrested a passenger at airport who was arriving from Imphal.
The accused attempted to smuggle gold worth Rs. 47 Lakhs.
Acting on specific intelligence, custom officials intercepted the passenger and seized 938.11 grams of gold worth Rs. 47 lakhs. Gold was concealed in his rectum in paste form.
Further investigation is under progress.
