On 11.02.2022, Kolkata Customs arrested 4 people for smuggling gold bars.
Those people were attempting to smuggle gold bars worth Rs. 84.5 Lakhs.
Based on specific information, customs officers searched an unregistered shop at Barrackpore, Kolkata and seized illegal Foreign Origin gold bars worth Rs. 84.5 Lakhs.
Custom officials seized smuggled gold worth Rs. 84.5 lakh.
The accused are under custody and further investigation is under process.
