Overview:

Levi’s is hiring an experienced Lead Accountant, Sales Finance at their Bangalore location. In this role as the Senior Accountant, Sales Finance, you will support revenue recognition for their wholesale businesses and support their Global Licensing program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

• Accounting for our Global licensing revenue recognition and collection program.
• Revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 for our wholesale business. This includes routine sales incentive and allowance accruals, cut-off analysis, pricing and claims reviews, as well as review over new and unique transactions and business models.
• The preparation and analytical reviews over judgmental and complex areas of wholesale revenue recognition including but not limited to: gross margin analysis, revenue cut-off, sales allowances and incentives and pricing.
• Review relevant balance sheet reconciliations and certify completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure the proper research and resolution of complex transactions and/or histories to reconcile accrual / balance discrepancies or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with finance and commercial operations business partners to implement and foster a strong control environment.
• Provide month end and quarter end balance sheet flux commentaries.
• Analyze complex business transaction proposals and apply correct accounting regulations and revenue recognition principles and communicate results with business professionals.
• Partner with global commercial finance and sales teams to provide reporting, insight and support on an on-going basis.
• Understand and comply with SOX and revenue recognition policy and procedure guidelines.
• Support internal and external audit deliverables.
• Participate in commercial, controllership and/or technology led special projects. Lead sales-finance problem-solving opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA, MAcc, and/or CPA is a plus.
• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as SAP is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures & principles and GAAP requirements
• Experience with accounting and control policies, and standard operating procedure process documentation.
• Experience working with outsourced financial service model.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex revenue accounting or process-related issues.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and facilitate communication between various groups in both in-person and virtual settings
