MBA Entrance Exams: What Other tests, Outside the CAT are available for pursuing an MBA?

Many students pursue an MBA after earning a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, such as BBA, BCA, or B.Tech. Masters in Business Administration is the complete form of the MBA. Many people have commented on a Quora question by saying that over 5 lakh young people pursue MBAs annually. The Indian Institute of Management, or IIM, is regarded as the best MBA program in India.

Passing an entrance exam like the CAT is a requirement for admission to a prestigious B-school. Common Admission Test is the acronym for the test. Each year, around 3 lakh candidates submit applications to take the CAT exam. A few thousand of these go on to succeed and realize their MBA dreams. There are several tiers of MBA entry examinations. State-level entrance exams and national entrance exams are the two types of exams. In addition, a lot of B schools provide their own MBA admission tests during this period. Recognize the top 15 entrance examinations you can take to be considered for an MBA admission.

  • The Common Admission Test (CAT) is the most widely used management entrance examination in India. Every year, the Common Admission Test, or CAT, is held. This can be used to get admission to any of the nation’s IIMs.
  • The Xavier Aptitude Test, or XAT, comes in second place to the CAT. Xavier School of Management, XLRI, is in charge of organizing it. This test takes place in January. This can be used to apply for admission to 11 XAMI member institutes and XLRI.
  • The Management Aptitude Test, or MAT, is administered by AIMA. Four times a year, in February, May, September, and December, there is an MBA entrance exam. Every time, a different cutoff is used.
  • Symbiosis International University administers the Symbiosis National Aptitude Program (SNAP) test to applicants seeking admission to management programs. This test takes place in December. It includes an additional section on general awareness.
  • The Graduate Management Admission Test, or GMAT, is used to determine admission to over 2300 business schools worldwide. An applicant’s GMAT score is taken into account by numerous management institutes in India as well.
  • The Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test, or NMAT, is a 75-day exam that is administered annually in October and November. An applicant may take the NMAT exam up to three times annually. This is the process for admission to a number of institutions, including ARM University, BIT University, NMIMS, and ICFAI.
  • The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a test administered nationally. The AICTE acknowledges it. April is when this exam is held. We would like to inform you that this exam is currently being held abroad as well.
  • The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) requires passing this exam in order to be admitted to its campuses in Kolkata, Delhi, and Kakinada. December is when it takes place. This has no age restriction.
  • Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET)/MH-MBA/MMS-CET: Acquiring a passing score on this computer-based exam allows admission to a two-year full-time management program in government, private, and deemed MBA colleges in Maharashtra. Two days are dedicated to this exam in March.
  • Tata Institute of Social Sciences TISSNET: Clearing this exam is a requirement for enrollment in the full-time postgraduate degree program. The TISSMAT exam must be passed in addition to the TISSNET exam.
  • The Tamil Nadu Common Admission Test, or TANCET, is an admission exam administered at the state level. To pursue an MBA from a Tamil Nadu university, you must pass this exam. You must have 50% of your Bachelor’s degree to sit for this exam.
  • IBSAT (ICFAI Business Studies Aptitude Test): This computer-based management entrance exam is conducted by ICFAI. Admission to ICFAI Business School is done through IBSAT, GMAT, CAT and NMAT scores.
  • KMAT (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test): This exam is mandatory for admission in AICTE-approved B-schools located in Karnataka. The KMAT exam is conducted in 10 cities of the country. Foreign students can also participate in it.
  • The PGCET is administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Exam for admission at the state level. You must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in order to be admitted to this. This test consists of one hundred questions in all.
  • ATMA: The AIMS Test for Management Admissions is another name for this computer-based exam. Four to five times a year, it is held. This is how one gets accepted into PGDM, MBA, MMS, and MCA programs, among others. This allows entrance to over 200 highly regarded universities.
