The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has constituted the Hindi Salahkar Samiti to advise on the implementation and progressive use of the official language Hindi across the MCA and affiliated institutions.

MCA Constitutes Hindi Salahkar Samiti To Promote Official Language Hindi
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), through a Resolution dated April 23, 2026, has constituted the Hindi Salahkar Samiti to advise the ministry on the implementation and progressive use of the official language Hindi in its functioning and affiliated institutions. The committee has been formed in accordance with the provisions relating to Official Language under the Constitution, the Official Languages Act and Rules, and the policy directions issued by the Department of Official Language.
The newly constituted Samiti will be chaired by the Honourable Minister of Corporate Affairs, while the Honourable Minister of State for Corporate Affairs will serve as the Deputy Chairman. The Committee comprises Members of Parliament from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, representatives of Parliamentary Committees, voluntary organisations, Ministry nominees and senior officials associated with the Ministry and its regulatory bodies.
Among the Members of Parliament included in the Samiti are Shri Kripanath Mallah, Dr Swami Sakshiji Maharaj, Shri Mayank Kumar Nayak and Smt P.T. Usha. The Committee also includes representatives from organisations such as the Central Secretariat Hindi Council and Vishwa Hindi Parishad.
The Resolution states that the functions of the Samiti are to render advice regarding the implementation of Official Language Hindi provisions and to promote the progressive use of Hindi in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Several ex officio members have also been included in the Committee, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Director General of Corporate Affairs, Chairperson of the Competition Commission of India (CCI), Executive Director of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), Chairperson of the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA), Registrar of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and Secretary of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
The tenure of the members of the Samiti will ordinarily be three years from the date of constitution. However, Members of Parliament will cease to be members upon cessation of their parliamentary membership, while ex officio members will continue so long as they hold the respective office.
The Samiti has been entrusted with advising the Ministry on compliance with Official Language policies and monitoring the progressive use of Hindi across MCA offices and institutions.
The headquarters of the Samiti will be located in New Delhi, where its meetings will also be conducted. The Resolution further provides for travelling and daily allowances to Members of Parliament and other non-official members in accordance with applicable Government rules and guidelines.
Thus, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has formally constituted the Hindi Salahkar Samiti for strengthening the implementation of Official Language Hindi policies within the Ministry and its associated bodies.
