• The candidate should have 5 years of service in the post and Pay level of 11 as per 7th CPC Pay matrix.

Desirable–

• The candidate should have experience in industrial development, foreign trade, estate development and administration.

For Deputy Development Commissioner-

• The candidates should be officers from central government service, including all India Services and organized Group ‘A’, Services, State Government officers, officers of Union Territories, PSUs, autonomous bodies, and statutory bodies.
• The candidates should hold the analogous post on a regular basis; or
• The candidate should have 5 years of service in the post having Pay level 10 as per 7th CPC Pay matrix.

Desirable–

• The candidates should have experience in industrial development, foreign trade, estate development, and administration.
