For Deputy Commissioner-

• Candidate should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in one of the following subjects-

1. Agriculture
2. Forestry
3. Horticulture OR

• Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a Recognized University or equivalent. And
• Candidate should have Ten years of experience in a supervisory capacity of planning and implementation of Agriculture/Forestry/Wastelands Development/ Watershed Development/Rural Development programs.

Desirable-

• Candidate should have a doctorate Degree in the subject concerned from a recognized university or equivalent.
• Candidate should have experience in the preparation of briefs, memoranda for conferences/seminars/meetings, and the like

For Assistant Commissioner-

• Candidate should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in one of the following subjects-

1. Agriculture
2. Forestry
3. Horticulture OR

• Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a Recognized University or equivalent. And
• Candidate should have Five years of experience in a supervisory capacity of formulation and processing including collection/ compilation/ analysis of data in respect of Agriculture/ Forestry/ Wastelands Development/ Watershed Development/ Rural Development Programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Rural Development Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of the Ministry of Rural Development Recruitment 2023, the required eligibility criteria are listed below-

For Deputy Commissioner-

Officers under the Central/ State Governments/Union Territories/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Semi-Government/ Statutory or Autonomous Organisations/recognized research institutions research institutions or Councils/Agricultural Universities-

• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in parent cadre or department. OR
• With five years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs 10000-15200 (pre-revised), or equivalent in the parent cadre/ Department.

For Assistant Commissioner-

Officers under the Central/ State Governments/Union Territories/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Semi-Government/ Autonomous or Statutory Organisation-

• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis. OR
• With five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Rs 8000-13500 (pre-revised), or equivalent in the 2 parent cadre/ Department. OR
• With eight years of service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Rs 6500-10500 (pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/ Department.

Salary for Ministry of Rural Development Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of the Ministry of Rural Development Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates will get a monthly salary up to Rs.208700.

Tenure for Ministry of Rural Development Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of the Ministry of Rural Development Recruitment 2023, the engagement is made on a deputation(including a short-term contract) basis for a period of 04 years.
