MNLU Recruitment 2022: Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai, has released the notification regarding hiring candidates for the post of Chair Professor on a contractual basis for one year which can be extended further. Interested candidate can send their application via email.
According to the official notification released by MNLU Recruitment, the candidate must be below 69 years. The selection will be held on the physical interview. Candidates are required to bring three copies of their resume with photographs affixed on all copies, original and one set of photocopies of their Academic certificates, Experience certificate, and other documents on the day of the interview.

Name of Post– Chair Professor – Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) IPR Chair, MNLU Mumbai
Salary– Selected candidate will be paid Rs. 100000 Per Month
Candidate should be an academic/scholar of outstanding track record in the area of IPR and aligned area of studies. He/She also have good knowledge of the latest national and international research trends and developments in the relevant area. Retired Officials of IP Offices under CGPDTM having experience of 5 years of working at GP ₹ 6600/- or above as Controller of Patent & Design or Registrar of Trademark & Geographical Indications or Registrar of Copyrights).
An outstanding professional with an established reputation in the field of IPR, who has made a significant contribution to knowledge in the field (to be substantiated by credentials). Teaching or Industry experience of 10 years in a reputed organization is required.
According to the official notification of MNLU Recruitment 2022, the candidate who have the following eligibility will be desirable for the post of Chair Professor:
(i) Experience in teaching/research in premier law universities/colleges in relevant areas;
(ii) Excellent inter-personal and team-building skills;
(iii) Ability to innovate and to improve research, training, and extension activities or services and to pursue interesting new ideas and new methods in the field of IPR.
AS per MNLU Recruitment notification the Chair Professor shall work shall include:
(i) Initiate, plan, implement, and follow-up research activities exclusively in the area of IPR law and policy in collaboration with national and international stakeholders including law firms, corporate houses, government departments, public sector undertakings, funding agencies, etc.;
(ii) Plan and conduct training and extension activities such as workshops, seminars, round-table conferences, etc.;
(iii) Provide input to the legislature, executive, and judiciary on the latest trends and developments in IPR law and policy on a regular and upon-request basis.
(iv) Assist in IPR law and policy-related activities of DPIIT and MNLU Mumbai.
(v) Contribute towards ensuring that MNLU Mumbai achieves knowledge and research excellence worldwide in IPR law and policy;
(vi) Report on an annual and periodic basis to DPIIT and the University on programs and activities, indicators of achievement, and results obtained under the Chair.
(vii) The Chair shall undertake survey studies, research projects, etc. as required.
