NCET 2025 Registration Extended: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration date for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025, giving aspiring teachers more time to apply. The new deadline to submit online applications is now March 31, 2025, until 9 PM. Candidates can pay the application fee until 11:50 PM on the same day.

The registration deadline was extended after students, educational institutions, and other stakeholders requested it. The extension was recommended by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to help students who are struggling to meet the original deadline because of ongoing CBSE and other board exams.

NCET 2025 is an admission exam to join the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) of Central and State Universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs, Government Colleges, and other such institutions.

The test will be held on April 29, 2025, in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The test will be held in various languages such as English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu, so the test can be taken by the candidates from anywhere in the country.

The exam for the 2025-26 academic session will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 178 cities and in 13 languages across the country.

The exam syllabus will have two main sections and those are General Test and Teaching Aptitude. The General Test will cover topics like General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and Environmental Awareness.

The Teaching Aptitude section will include questions related to teaching subjects like Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, and Languages.
