NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the eligibility criteria for the NDA Exam 2024. Candidates who are in 12th grade or equivalent are eligible to appear for the NDA exam. Both males and females can take the NDA exam if they are unmarried. Candidates who were born not earlier than January 2, 2006, and not later than January 1, 2009, can take the NDA exam.

In order to be eligible for the NDA exam, candidates must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person originally Indian who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Only candidates who qualify for the physical test are eligible. In a physical test, candidates are measured as per height, weight and medical standards. The selection of candidates for the NDA is based on a written test and an interview.

Nationality for NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024:

The given below is the NDA Nationality-

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India or a person originally Indian who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Note- Provided that a candidate belonging to categories 2, 3, 4, and 5 must be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Indian government. A certificate of eligibility is not required for Gorkha candidates from Nepal.

Qualification for NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024:

Candidates must have the given below qualifications to take for NDA Exam.

  • For Army Wing- Candidates who passed or appeared in Class 12 are eligible.
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings- Candidates who passed or appeared in Class 12. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12.

Age Limit for NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024:

Candidates who were born not earlier than January 2, 2006, and not later than January 1, 2009, can take the NDA exam.

Age Limit-

  • The minimum age limit is 16.5 years .
  • The maximum age limit is 19.5 years.

Selection Procedure for NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024:

The written test and interview will be conducted to choose the right applicant for NDA Exam.

Written Test- The written test will consist of 2 exams, i.e. Maths and GAT.

  • Exam Type- objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • Duration- 2.5 hrs and for GAT is 2.5 hrs.
  • Question- 120
  • Marks- 300

GAT

  • Exam Type- objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • Duration- 2.5 hrs and for GAT is 2.5 hrs.
  • Question 150
  • Marks- 600

Interview- The interview will be held in 2 stages.

  • Stage 1- Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Description Test (PP and DT).
  • Stage 2- Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. The SSB interview carries 900 marks.
