NDMA Recruitment 2023: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released an internship program for eligible Indian citizens. The Internship will be paid and it will be available throughout the year. The internship scheme encourages female candidates, students from weaker socio-economic backgrounds, and from the North-Eastern states to apply.
Disaster management as a field of practice demands trained and qualified professionals. NDMA, being the apex institute in this field, aims to provide experiential learning and exposure in the domain of Disaster Management. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned below are requested to apply online from the official website. The Online application window will open from 1st to 10th of every month.
As per the NDMA Recruitment 2023 notification, there are 10 vacancies for the post of internship in various divisions of Disaster Management.
Candidates must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program in Disaster Management or in an equivalent postgraduate degree program such as Development Studies, Economics, Humanities, Sciences, Management, Engineering, Health Studies etc., or the candidates should have recently graduated with a university degree in the concerned subject. Disaster management should be clearly linked if the student pursues a different academic discipline. Candidate having Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office applications), Excellent written and spoken English, Excellent interactive and interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work in a multicultural environment will be desired.
The internship period will be 6 to 8 weeks which can be extended for 2 months. During the internship, candidates have to maintain 90% attendance.
Selected candidates will get a monthly salary of Rs. 12000.
Candidates will be shortlisted through their application and will be called for an interview if needed.
