New ICAI Logo under Objection; ICMA Logo accepted by Trademarks Authority
The new Chartered Accountants (CA India) logo/wordmark unveiled by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has been challenged by a third party.
The ICAI unveiled the new CA logo at its first-ever "Global Professional Accountants Convention" (GloPAC), which intends to organise events of such grandeur where the global accountancy community remains connected and ahead of the world's ever-changing dynamics.

It is interesting to note that the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) additionally unveiled a logo for Cost Accountants, "iCMA".

The logos in both cases have not yet been officially approved by the appropriate bodies, such as the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs, and Trade Marks, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The launched logo is being challenged and has not yet been recognized by the authority of the trademark. Notably, the new Logo for CMAs is listed as "Accepted and Advertised" on the official website.
