As per the official notification of NHPC Recruitment 2024, there are 280 vacancies open for the post of Trainee Engineers/Trainee Officers in relevant disciplines.

Qualification for NHPC Recruitment 2024:

Candidates must have the required qualification for applying to NHPC Recruitment 2024 as given below-

For Trainee Engineer-

• The applicant must have a Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in a relevant Discipline from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. OR
• AMIE (enrollment upto 31.05.2013) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade.

For Trainee Engineer/ Officer (IT)-

• The applicant must have a Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Information Technology Discipline including Computer Science / Information Technology/ Computer Engineering from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. OR
• The applicant must have a Master in Computer Application (MCA) from a recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.

For Trainee Officer (Geology)-

• The applicant must have a Full-Time regular M.Sc. (Geology) / M.Tech. in Applied Geology (should have studied Geology with Maths or Physics at graduation level) from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Master’s degree.

For Trainee Engineer/ Officer (Environment)-

• The applicant must have a Full-time regular B.E./B. Tech (Environmental Engineering)/ M.Sc. (Environmental Science) from a recognized Indian University / Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum 60% mark or equivalent grade.

Salary for NHPC Recruitment 2024:

The candidates who are selected for NHPC Recruitment 2024 will be provided a monthly remuneration of Rs.50000 – 3% – 160000 (IDA) (E2) during one year training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer/Officer on the same scale with probation of one year. The total annual emoluments for the newly joined shall be approx Rs.15 Lakh.

Place of Posting for NHPC Recruitment 2024:

The selected candidates for NHPC Recruitment 2024 will be posted at Projects / Power Stations/ Offices including Joint Ventures and Subsidiary Companies of NHPC in various parts of the country or abroad.

Selection Process for NHPC Recruitment 2024:

The candidates will be selected for NHPC Recruitment 2024 on the basis of normalized marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2023, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates shall be short-listed for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews based on their normalized Marks out of 100 in the corresponding paper of GATE-2023 only and as per the criteria decided by the Management(not more than 05 times of vacancy). Candidates who are shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be required to submit a consent form for appearing in the GD/ Personal Interview as per the notified schedule.
