The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is hiring candidates for the post of Scientific post in Technical Forensic Psychologist, Finger Print Expert, Explosive Exert, Cyber Forensic Examiner, Crime Scene Assistant and Photographer on a Deputation (ISTC) Basis. In accordance with the official notification of NIA Recruitment 2024, there are 31 vacancies for the assigned position.

Age Limit for NIA Recruitment 2024:

Technical Forensic Psychologist

Officers under the Central Government/ State Government or Universities / recognised Research Institutions / Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings / Semi-Government, Statutory or Autonomous Organisation:

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department, or
• Applicant must have at least 02 years service in the grade on regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-2, Pay Scale of Rs. 9300 to Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4800 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department; or
• Applicant must have at least 03 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the posts in the Pay Band- 2, Pay Scale of Rs. 9300 to Rs.34800 with Grade pay Rs.4600 or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department

Finger Print Expert

Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Universities or recognized Research Institutions or union territories or public sector undertakings or statutory or autonomous organization:

• Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department, or
• Applicant must have at least 02 years service in the grade on regular basis in posts in the Pay Band-2, Pay Scale of Rs.9300 to Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department
• Applicant must have at least 03 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the posts in the Pay Band- 2, Pay Scale of Rs.9300 to Rs.34800 with Grade pay Rs.4600 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Crime Scene Assistant

Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or recognised research institutions or Universities or Semi Government or Statutory or Autonomous Organizations;

• Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
• Applicant must have at least 05 years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the Pay Band-2 Rs. 9300 to Rs.34800 plus Grade pay of Rs.4200 or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

Qualification and Experience for NIA Recruitment 2024:

Candidates applying for the NIA Recruitment 2024 must have the following qualifications and experience.

Technical Forensic Psychologist

• Candidate should have a Masters’ degree in Criminology or Clinical Psychology regular course from a recognised University.
• Candidates should have at least 03 years experience in applied Psychology or Criminology/ Crime Investigation.

Desirable

• Applicant must have a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from recognized University.
• Candidates should have at least 03 years experience in practicing clinical psychology.
• Applicant must have a M. Phil in clinical Psychology; or PG Diploma in Forensic Psychology; or M. Phil in Forensic Psychology.

Finger Print Expert

• Applicant must have a M.Sc. Degree in any Science Subject or M.Sc. in Forensic Science; or B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognised University.
• Applicant must have at least 03 years experience in a laboratory in development and identification of Finger print.

Desirable:-

• Candidate should have a Doctorate qualification; or Degree relevant to
• Finger print expert examination from a recognised institution.

Crime Scene Assistant

• Candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Bio-technology / Analytical chemistry or physics / forensic science from a recognised university,
• Candidate should have at least 03 years experience in crime scene processing in Central Government or State Government ог Union Territories or Statutory or Autonomous organizations / Public Sector Undertakings / Universities / Recognised Research Institutions.
