1. Project Scientist-II

2. Research Associate-I

Age Limit for NIH Recruitment 2023:

The maximum age for Project Scientist-II shall be 40 years, Research Associate & Project Associate-I shall be 35 years and Junior Research Fellow will be 28 years as of the date of the interview. Age relaxation of SC /ST /OBC /Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Government of India rules.

Emoluments for NIH Recruitment 2023:

For Project Scientist-II- The salary for the candidate selected for the post will be Rs. 67,000 p.m+ HRA (as applicable)

For Research Associate-I- The salary for the selected candidate would be Rs. 47,000 p.m+ HRA (as applicable)

Qualification for NIH Recruitment 2023:

For Project Scientist II:

Essential:

The candidate should hold a Doctoral Degree in Hydrology/ Water Resources/ Hydraulic Engg. or equivalent from a recognized university and Three years of research experience in R&D, Industrial and Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.

Desirable:

1. Experience in field observations and experiments, hydrological data collection and preparation, and hydrological modeling.

2. Knowledge of programming language

3. Attempt in GATE / NET exams

For Research Associate-I:

Essential:

The eligible candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences/Civil engineering/Water Resources Engineering/Geo-informatics/Agricultural Engineering

OR

M.E./M.Tech. in Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences/Civil Engg./Water Resources Engg. /Remote Sensing & GIS/Agricultural Engg. and having 3 years of research experience after M.E/M. Tech, with at least one research paper in the SCI journal

Preference will be given to NET/GATE (CSIR/UGC, ICAR, ICMR, etc.) qualified candidates)

Desirable: Experience in Snow-Glacier Dynamics, Snowmelt and Glacier Melt Runoff Modeling, Remote Sensing and GIS applications, and Python Programming.

Tenure for NIH Recruitment 2023:

The initial term of appointment and subsequent extension (s) if any, shall be decided on a case-to-case basis depending upon the specific job and the time frame for its completion.

For Project Scientist II:

The candidate will be appointed till December 2023, or till the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.

For Research Associate-I:

The candidate will initially be for one year (likely to be extended further).

Interview Details for NIH Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of NIH Recruitment 2023, can attend walk-in-Interview along with complete bio-data, passport-size photograph and original proof of qualification and experience, and self-attested copies on 8th and 10th February 2023 at 10:00 am at NIH, Roorkee. Candidate may report to NIH one hour before the Interview time.
