No Change in ICSE/ISC Exams in Karnataka
The exams set for May 2 will not be changed, according to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
The state of Karnataka has announced May 2nd as a holiday in honour of Eid-ul-Fitr. On Monday, ICSE (class 10 Mathematics) and ISC (class 12, English Paper 2 – Literature in English) exams will be held.
“Because the Central Government announced May 3, 2022 as a holiday in honour of Eid-ul-Fitr, this timetable was set. Please note that, because the CISCE is a National Board with affiliated schools in almost every state in India and abroad, and in the interest of all examinees, the CISCE has decided to continue with the ICSE (Mathematics) and ISC (English Paper 2 – Literature in English) examinations on Monday, May 2, 2022, as originally scheduled, in order to avoid causing disruption in the examination schedule at the last minute, across India and abroad “According to a council circular.
The circular also states that heads of schools must contact their respective bank’s management and urge that the branches be opened and that the question papers be withdrawn.
The circular, dated May 1, is addressed to all Karnataka school heads.
