Seeks to bring certain sections of the IGST Act, 2017 into force w.e.f. 22.06.2017

IGST Notification No. 1/2017 Integrated Tax date 19-06-2017

Notification no.1/2017 ITGST - Provisions of GST will come into force on 22.06.17 Ministry of Finance has notified vide notification no.1/2017 dated 21st June, 2017 regarding a few provisions which will come into effect on 22.06.17. Central government has been given this powers u/s 1(3) of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.Sections 1, 2, 3, 14, 20 and section 22 shall come into force on an appointed date. The appointed date notified for this by Central Government is 22nd June, 2017 .

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) ofsection 1 of the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (13 of 2017), theCentral Government hereby appoints the 22nd day of June, 2017, as the date onwhich the provisions of sections 1, 2, 3, 14, 20 and 22 of the said Act shall come into force.
