NSE Imposes Penalty on IIFL Capital Services Over Operational Margin Reporting Issue

IIFL Capital Services Limited, one of the wealth management firms in India, has recently informed the stock exchanges, National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), that it has been penalised by the NSE on July 15, 2025. The penalty is about an issue found during NSE’s inspection.

As part of its offsite inspection in the CM, FO, and CD segments for January 2025, NSE found that the company had incorrectly reported client margin collections. This mismatch was operational in nature, and the company had already fixed it. However, NSE has levied a penalty of Rs 1,07,600.

The company has clearly stated that the above penalty has no impact on the operations or other activities of the company.
