Oracle is hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer at their Bengaluru location.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Develop automation scripts to help build, deploy, and monitor supported environments

Direct support for environments that are used for patch bundle certification

Troubleshoot deployment/runtime issues with deployments

Provide Production Support and respond to production incidents as the first line of defense for the organization

Drive monitoring requirements to ensure service level visibility for support teams

Write, test, debug packages/scripts

Troubleshoot along with engineering and support team critical customer issues

Technical documentation

Have an “Automate Everything” mindset to support scalable growth

Collaborate with other areas (Operations, Performance, Middleware, Release Management) as necessary to obtain efficient solutions in addition to driving more strategic efforts that involve the fleet.

Eligibility:

BE/B.tech/MCA in Computer Science or related fieldS in Computer Science or related field

1+ Years in Software Development specific to Enterprise software

Development skills with UNIX software (shell, basic Unix commands)

Experience with python/PERL or similar scripting language

Proficient in analyzing various server logs, heap and thread dumps for Root Cause Analysis

Experience with Debugging Tools

Knowledge and experience working with VM Technologies

Proven track record of design and development and implementation of enterprise software including migration, scalability, flexibility/configuration, and performance

Experience using SQL

Knowledge of database tuning a plus

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Capable of working independently

Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects at a time with individuals in multiple departments and regions
