PLATFORM FOR CREATION & MAINTENANCE OF DATABASE OF INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Companies (Creation and Maintenance of databank on Independent Directors) Rules, 2019″ on 22nd October 2019 also alongside new rules on databank of Independent Directors, MCA also notified “INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS” located at Manesar, Gurugram (Haryana) as an “institute having expertise in creation and maintenance of such databank”

The databank which can be accessed at ‘www.mca.gov.in’ and ‘www.independentdirectorsdatabank.in’ would provide an easy to access and navigate platform for the registration of independent directors

• Such Databank will be an online databank that shall be placed on the website of the Institute.
• The information shall be available on payment of reasonable fees only to those companies who are required to appoint ID as per CA, 2013.
• Only those details of ID’s will disclosed on the website, which they are willing to disclose, personal information disclosure can be restricted.
• They are entrusted with the responsibility of conducting exams, designing, of course, online study material and other numbers of value-added services are expected to be rolled out through the portal for capacity building of independent directors.
• Institute shall constitute of panel not more than 10 members appointed by CG for purpose of designing study material and other related matters thereto.
