PM Kisan 19th Installment Released: Who is Eligible and How to Complete eKYC?
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is still helping farmers across India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme on February 24, 2025. In this scheme, around Rs.22,000 crore will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of 9.8 crore farmers. This initiative aims to help and boost their income.
In this scheme, every eligible farmer will receive Rs.6,000 per year, which is paid in three instalments of Rs.2,000 every four months. The money is directly transferred to their bank accounts.
The 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was released on 5th October 2024 in Washim, Maharashtra, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
eKYC is compulsory for all farmers who have registered under the PM Kisan scheme. You can complete OTP-based eKYC on the PM Kisan portal or visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for biometric-based eKYC.
Farmers under the PM Kisan scheme can complete their eKYC by using these three methods:
OTP-based eKYC: Available on the PM-Kisan Portal and Mobile App. Farmers receive an OTP on their registered mobile number to verify their identity.
Biometric eKYC: Done at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs) using fingerprint or iris scan.
Face Authentication eKYC: Available on the PM Kisan Mobile App, allowing farmers to verify their identity using face recognition.
As per the PM Kisan official website, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PM Kisan Portal or the nearest CSC centres may be contacted for biometric-based eKYC.”
