Rajasthan Tax Consultants Association has filed a writ petition before the Rajasthan High Court seeking extension of the TAR filing deadline for AY 2026-27 from September 30 to October 31.

Rajasthan Tax Consultants Association (RTCA), Jaipur, on September 22, 2026, had filed a writ petition (CW/54522/2026) against the Union of India and Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), seeking an extension of the due date for filing the Tax Audit Report (TAR) for the Assessment Year 2026-27 (Financial Year 2025-26) from September 30, 2026, to October 31, 2026.
The matter has not yet been decided, and the appeal is presently pending. According to the sources, the hearing on the present matter is scheduled for September 25, 2026, (also the first hearing date).
The Central Council Member, Chartered Accountant (CA) Satish Kumar Gupta, is actively making efforts to support the members who are going through high stress these days due to the approaching Tax Audit Report (TAR) filing deadline.
