Sainik Schools Entrance Examination 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date to complete the online registrations for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025 for Classes 6th and 9th till 23 January 2025 (Upto 05.00 P.Μ.). Earlier the AISSEE 2025 registrations were open till 13 January 2025 (Upto 05.00 P.M.). Now the last date for submission of the Examination fee (through Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking /UPI) is 24 January 2025 (Upto 11:50 P.Μ.). Candidates who could not register earlier due to any reason have been provided a second chance. Candidates can register at the official website of AISSEE i.e., aissee2025.ntaonline.in.
Candidates must be between 10 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2025, in order to be admitted to Class 6. The recently released official notification by NTA states that, “Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools. Eligibility for admission to approved New Sainik Schools is detained in the information bulletin.”
Similarly, applicants must have completed Class 8th at an accredited school and be between the ages of 13 and 15 as of March 31, 2025, in order to be admitted to Class 9th. In order to complete the registration forms, candidates who fall under the General, OBC (NCL), Defense, or Ex-Servicemen categories must pay an application price of Rs. 800. A total of 125 questions covering four subjects—language, mathematics, intelligence, and general knowledge—will be included in the Class 6 exam, which has a 300-mark weight.
Every question in the language, intelligence, and general knowledge areas will be worth two points. There will be 50 questions in the mathematics section, with a total weight of 150 marks.
There will be 150 questions in the class 9th examination, with a total weightage of 400 marks. Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Science, and Social Science are the disciplines that will be covered in the test. There will be a total of 50 questions in the mathematics section, while the next four sections will have a total of 25 questions.
The Class 6th examinations will be held from 2 PM to 4:30 PM (150 Minutes) and Class 9th from 2 PM to 5 PM (180 Minutes).
