SBI Credit Cardholders Alert: Vistara Rewards and Other Benefits to Change from April 1 In November 2024, after the merger of Vistara and Air India, their loyalty programs saw major changes. Air India's Maharaja Club replaced the Flying Returns program, and Vistara's Club Vistara was merged into this updated system. As a result, many banks like SBI Card, Axis Bank, and IDFC First Bank have updated their credit card benefits.

SBI Credit Card Feature Changes

From April 1, 2025, SBI Card will make major changes to the benefits of its Club Vistara SBI Credit Cards and Club Vistara SBI PRIME Credit Cards. The most significant change is that cardholders will no longer get free economy or premium economy flight vouchers as a renewal benefit. On top of that, milestone rewards that provided flight vouchers for spending Rs.1.25 lakh, Rs.2.5 lakh and Rs.5 lakh will also be removed. To provide continued value, SBI Card will waive the Rs.2,999 renewal fee for eligible customers when they renew their cards.

For Current Cardholders before April 1, 2025

Cardholders renewing their cards before April 1, 2025, will continue to receive the current renewal and milestone benefits if they meet the eligibility criteria. meaning:

• You can still receive milestone rewards like ticket vouchers under the existing terms.
• The renewal fee of Rs.2,999 will apply as usual.

Even with the upcoming changes, Club Vistara SBI PRIME credit cardholders will continue to enjoy some key benefits, such as: Maharaja Points: Earn 4 Maharaja Points (formerly CV Points) for every Rs.200 spent using the card. These points will be added to your account on your monthly billing date. Annual Hotel Voucher: Get a Rs.10,000 hotel voucher when you spend Rs.8 lakh in a year. Lounge Access: Enjoy 8 free domestic airport lounge visits and 4 free international airport lounge visits each year.

Axis Bank Vistara Updates

As part of its updates, Axis Bank is going to discontinue some of the travel privileges, such as the free Maharaja Club membership and milestone ticket voucher. However, the good news is that the annual renewal fee has been waived. Cardholders can still gain Maharaja Points on eligible purchases and avail of added benefits such as lounge access, dining offers, and golf courses.
