The State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Circle Based Officer (CBO) to fill up a total of 2964 vacancies. Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of the last date of application. Age relaxation is provided for certain categories—5 years for candidates belonging to SC and ST, and 3 years for those in the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category. To be eligible, candidates must have at least 2 years of experience working as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or a Regional Rural Bank listed under the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. Selected candidates will be posted within the Circle for which they apply.
The application fee is Rs. 750 for candidates from the General, EWS, and OBC categories. However, candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories are not required to pay any application fee. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, or internet banking. Upon selection, candidates will be placed on probation for six months and will receive a basic monthly salary of Rs. 48,480, as per the pay scale of Rs. 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. The selection process includes an Online Examination, Screening, Interview, and a Local Language Proficiency Test. Candidates with at least 2 years of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank will also receive 2 extra increments. In addition to the basic pay, employees will be entitled to various benefits such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or lease rental, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund (PF), National Pension Scheme (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical facilities, and other allowances and perks as per the rules.How to Apply for Circle Based Officer

After registering, they must pay the application fee online using a debit card, credit card, or internet banking. All required documents should be uploaded with the application before the last date.- Applicants must have a valid email ID and mobile number, which should remain active until the final results are announced. The bank will use these details to send important updates, call letters, or messages through email or SMS.
- The online application process is open from 9th May 2025 to 29th May 2025. Applications will not be accepted through any other method.
