SBI Notifies 2964 Vacancies for Circle Based Officer Post, Apply Before Deadline
State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Circle Based Officer (CBO). There are a total of 2964 vacancies available for the aforementioned position, according to the official notification of SBI Recruitment 2025. In order to apply for the opportunity, candidates should be below 21 and not above 30 years as on the last date. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes and Other Backwards Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) category are provided the age relaxation of 5 and 3 years respectively. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank as listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India. The selected candidates shall be posted in the applied Circle only.
In accordance with the official notification of SBI Recruitment 2025, the application fee for the candidates from the General / EWS/ OBC category is Rs. 750, and those from the General / EWS/ OBC category are not required to pay any short of application fee. The fee is acceptable through means such as debit card/ credit card/ Internet Banking. On joining, the chosen candidates will be appointed for a probationary period of 6 months and will be paid a monthly basic pay of Rs. 48,480 in the scale of Rs. 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. The selection process to select eligible candidates for the assigned position will comprise four phases, i.e., Online Examination, Screening, Interview and Local Language Proficiency Test. Candidates filling the online applications for SBI Recruitment 2025 are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 750 if they belong to the General / EWS/ OBC category, and those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD categories are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
Based on the official notification of SBI Recruitment 2025, the chosen candidates for the designated role will be appointed for a probationary period of 6 months from their joining the Bank.
The CBOs will be subjected to continuous assessment during the probation period to judge their suitability for confirmation. The candidates who qualify in their assessment as per standards determined by the Bank from time to time will be confirmed in the service of the Bank in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). If any candidate fails to achieve the minimum standards stipulated, his/ her services may be terminated as per the policy of the Bank in force at the material time.
The selected officers will be in the general cadre and will be governed by the promotion policy applicable to the bank’s general cadre officers. The selected candidates will not be entitled to inter-circle transfer/ Corporate Centre Posting/ Corporate Centre Establishment Posting/ Foreign Posting up to his/ her promotion to SMGS-IV Grade OR 12 years of service, whichever is later.
The chosen applicants at the position of “Circle Based Officers” (CBOs) will be paid starting basic pay of Rs. 48,480 in the scale of Rs. 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2- 67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I plus 2 advance increments (For work experience of 2 years or more in officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank/ Regional Rural Bank). The official will also be eligible for D.A., H.R.A./ Lease rental, C.C.A, PF, Contributory Pension Fund, i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, etc. and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.
