Shri Arvind Shrivastava Joins as the New Secretary of the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance

Mr. Arvind Shrivastava has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance on April 18, 2025. Mr. Shrivastava is a 1994-batch IAS officer from Karnataka. Before this new role, he worked in the Prime Minister’s Office as Joint Secretary and later as Additional Secretary.

His previous experience includes:

  • Joint Secretary in the Budget Division (Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance)
  • Development Officer at the Asian Development Bank
  • Secretary in the Finance Department, Bengaluru
  • Secretary in the Urban Development Department, Bengaluru
  • Managing Director of Karnataka’s Urban Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation
