SPREE 2025: A One Time Chance for Employers to Register under ESIC Without Penalty The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has introduced SPREE 2025, a special initiative to raise registration and enhance benefits for greater numbers of workers. SPREE (Scheme to Promote Registration of Employers/Employees) is a One-Time Opportunity for employers. Employers can register their workplace and all eligible employees under ESIC from July 1st to December 31st, 2025. There will be no demand for past dues, making it easier for employers to comply without facing penalties or past liabilities. This is a simple and effective way to ensure employees get important ESIC benefits like medical care, sickness leave, and maternity support.

Under the leadership of Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) approved the SPREE 2025 scheme during its 196th meeting, held in Shimla on June 27, 2025. The employers can register their units and employees online on the ESIC portal, Shram Suvidha, and MCA portal. The registration will be considered as applicable from the date prescribed by the employer during registration. There will be no inspection or request for past records for the period before the date of registration.

SPREE 2025 simplifies employers' registration with ESIC without having to fear previous fines or heavy regulations. Earlier, there were problems of late registration, which could bring legal issues. SPREE 2025 eliminates these issues and makes more workplaces and employees eligible to receive ESIC benefits.
