States Introducing E-Way Bill: States already Introduced E-Way Bill In addition to introduction of Ewaybill for inter state movement of good w.e.f. 01.02.18, as many as 13 states will also be introducing Ewaybill for Intra-State Movement(within state) for consignmenthaving value exceeding Rs 50000. w.e.f. same date.

States Introducing E-Way Bill: States already Introduced E-Way Bill

These States are:

1. Andhra Pradesh
2. Arunachal Pradesh
3. Bihar
4. Tamil Nadu
5. Haryana
6. Jharkhand
7. Karnataka
8. Kerela
9. Puducherry(UT)
10. Sikkim
11. Telangana
12. Uttar Pradesh
13. Uttakhand

Also, the following states have issued notification for introduction of e way bill from a deferred date as given below:

• Odisha - 01/06/18
• Maharashtra - 01/05/18
• Chattisgarh - 01/06/18
• West Bengal - 01/06/18

E-WAYBILL is mandatory in all States/UT for inter-state movement of goods w e.f. 01/02/18. Some of the relevant provisions of E-Way bill are:

• E-Way Bill is invalid without vehicle number for transportation of goods for a distance of more than 10 KM
• E-Way Bill with consignment should have latest vehicle number, which is carrying the consignment.
• No E-Way bill is required for
  • Goods exempted for purpose of E-Way Bill
  • Goods transported by non-motorized conveyance
• Random verification can be done by officer
• Verification report shall be uploaded by officer within specified time
• Validity of the E-Way bill is one day for every 100 KM or part of it
• The conveyance shall carry cop of invoice/bill challan and copy of E-Way Bill or E-Way Bill number.
