Thomas Cook India Faces Penalty Orders from Delhi and West Bengal GST Commissionerates
The Thomas Cook (India) Limited, a leading integrated travel and travel-related financial services company, received two penalty orders, one by the Principal Commissioner, Delhi South Commissionerate and another by the Joint Commissioner, Behala, West Bengal.
This disclosure was made by Thomas Cook (India) Ltd under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 ("SEBI Regulations"). Through which, the company informed about the receipt of demand orders on December 9, 2025.
The company added that it has received the first demand order from the Principal Commissioner, Delhi South Commissionerate, imposing interest of Rs 474,583 and a penalty of Rs 85,741,554 for violation under section 50 of the CGST Act 2017.
The company added that it has received the second order from the Joint Commissioner, Behala, West Bengal, levying demand on the short payment of GST amounting to Rs 1,056,896 and interest of Rs 779,120 and a penalty of Rs 100,000 under section 73(9) of the CGST/WBGST Act 2017.
The company will take appropriate steps to challenge the penalty orders before the concerned authorities. And also added that there is no significant impact on financial, operational or other activities of the Company.
