TISS PhD Admission 2024: TISS Started accepting NET Score for PhD Admissions
Transformative Step for TISS PhD Admission 2024: Remarkable for its research in social sciences, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) recently made a big choice in PhD admissions. TISS will use National Eligibility Test (NET) results as a primary factor for Ph.D. admission beginning with the 2024-2025. The goal of this action is to improve openness and expedite the admissions process.
In the past, TISS administered its own Research Aptitude Test (RAT) to candidates seeking Ph.D. But TISS has chosen to end the RAT in accordance with University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations. NET scores will henceforth be a crucial factor in deciding a candidate’s eligibility for the Ph.D. program.
The UGC, in its 578th meeting conducted on 13th March 2024 endorsed this transformative change. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release detailed notifications for the NET examination scheduled for June 2024.
