An engineering school in Delhi is called the Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research (AIACTR). The NCT Delhi government founded the college in the year 2001. The Department of Training and Technical Education, Government of Delhi, founded the Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT) in 1988 as the first engineering college for women. Mahila Institute of Technology was the previous name of the college. The college’s primary goal was to encourage women to pursue careers in engineering and technology. When it was founded in 1998, the institution became the first constituent college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. From may 2013, the institution will be called as Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women.
Government coeducational engineering college GB Pant Government Engineering College, Delhi is situated in Delhi. The Directorate of Training and Technical Education created the college in 2007. The college bears Govind Ballabh Pant’s name, a legendary independent activist. The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of Delhi is associated with the GBPEC, which has received approval from AICTE New Delhi.
