Below are the important topics for the UGC NET 2024 paper I. The paper I for the UGC NET 2024 exam will include ten sections, each holding five questions, hence totally the paper will include 50 questions. Each question will carry two marks. • Teaching Aptitude: Nature of teaching, methods of teaching, factors affecting teaching, evaluation system, learners characteristics, teaching aids, evolution system.
• Logical Reasoning: Indian logic, analogies, deductive and inductive reasoning and structure of argument, categorical propositions, the square of opposition, mood and figure, and formal and informal fallacies.
• Information and Communication Technology: Basics of Internet, General abbreviation and terminology, emailing, questions related to viruses, social media, memory RAM and ROM, Datatype Conversions
• Data Interpretation: Bar graph, table-related question, Pie chart, mapping and diagrammatic data, quantitative and qualitative data
• Reasoning and Maths: Blood relation, distance and directions, coding and decoding, alphabet questions, In maths average, percentage, ratio proportion, compound internet number series, time and distance, etc.
• Reading Comprehensions: There is no specific topic related to this section. It is crucial for a candidate to read newspapers, practice reading comprehension, etc.
