UGC NET June Result 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon anticipated to release University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC–NET) June Result 2024. The result will be declared officially at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Before declaring the results officially, NTA will release the official date and time for the result declaration. Earlier the UGC NET June Result 2024 exam was cancelled due to paper leaks and then re-organised in computer-based test mode (CBT) for 83 subjects across various states in India between August 21 to September 5, 2024. The UGC NET exam is conducted to test a candidate’s eligibilty for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in Indian universities. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for conducting the UGC NET exam on behalf of UGC.
On June 18, 2024, UGC Chief, M Jagadesh Kumar tweeted that NTA has “successfully conducted UGC-NET June 2024”, after a few hours of the tweet, the Ministry of Education (MoE) announced the cancellation of the exam due to news of paper leaks. Decision of exam cancellation was made just one day after the UGC NET June 2024 exam was conducted across 317 cities. After a few weeks, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) accepted that there was no paper leak in the exam. However, after a deep investigation, the CBI revealed that the “evidence”, which led the Education Ministry to cancel the exam was doctored. The input was a screenshot of a circulated UGC NET paper on a Telegram channel, which was circulated at around 2 PM on the day of the exam i.e., on June 18, 2024. Messages and comments suggest that the paper was leaked during the first session. The person who circulated the paper was detected by the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the MHA and was sent to UGC on June 19, 2024. After viewing all the reports, the Indian government announced the cancellation of the UGC NET June 2024 exam at night. After when the report was made public, the India-Wide Parents Association (IWPA) urged MoE, NTA and UGC to not re-conduct the exam as it would be ‘unjustified and an injustice to lakhs of candidates’.
