UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023 Registration Started; Check Details Here
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recently announced the start of the Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023 registration process. The exam is held each year to choose candidates for the prestigious Indian Civil Services, which includes the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Police Service (IPS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
The UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam is regarded as one of the most difficult entrance exams in the country. The Preliminary Exam is the first stage of a two-stage process. Candidates who pass the Preliminary Exam will be eligible to take the Main Exam, the second stage of the selection process. The examination registration process will begin today 1 Feb 2023 and will last until 21 Feb 2023. Interested candidates should apply for the exam via the UPSC website.
The UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2023 is open to all Indian citizens aged 21 to 32. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university. The exam will be divided into two papers, Paper I and Paper II. The exam syllabus will include topics from General Studies and Aptitude.
Candidates who pass the Preliminary Exam will be eligible to take the Main Exam, which will include nine papers. The Main Exam has two parts: the Written Exam and the Personality Test. Candidates who pass the Main Exam will be recommended for appointment to various positions in All India Services.
If a candidate wishes to make changes to his or her OTR profile, they may do so only once in their lifetime after registering on the OTR platform. The change in OTR profile data will be available for 7 days following the close of the application window for his/her first final application for any Commission Examination. If a candidate applies for this examination for the first time after registering for OTR, the last date for OTR modification is February 28, 2023.
Online applications can be submitted until February 21, 2023, at 6:00 PM. Three weeks before the start of the examination, eligible candidates will be issued an e-Admit Card. Candidates will be able to download the admit Card from the UPSC website [https://upsconline.nic.in]. There will be no postal delivery of Admit Cards.
Candidates should be aware that there will be a penalty (negative marking) for incorrect answers marked in Objective Type Question Papers.
